The Berkeley Scientific Journal accepts applications from interested UC Berkeley undergraduate students at the beginning of every semester. Applications for the Fall 2023 semester are now closed.

First-semester journal staff are required to enroll in the 2-unit DeCal (Democratic Education at Cal) course that accompanies our organization. Our staff writers are trained in practice of science journalism and communication.
